Style:
Eccentric and eclectic. SF or fantasy as the muse directs. Normally in a humorous vein.
Interests:
Science, cinema, slipstream fiction, history, economics...
dabbling in too many things to be good at any of them. I will read most
anything, except sports. Currently threatened by premature burial under
countless bought, yet unread books.

Brief Bio:
I'm married, with one child in college. I started out as a child, if not on the streets of Philadelphia (like Bill Cosby), then in one of its suburbs. Got a degree in psychology (those who aren't sane can at least learn to fake it). I joined the Navy, serving onboard a submarine and then in the Philippines. Getting out, I used the GI Bill to go through nursing school. My career has gone from geriatrics, to intensive care, and now anesthesia. Along the way I also picked up an MS in Biology.
Coauthored a novel in high school, and then put SF writing aside while I focused on finding a career. Now, as a mild form of mid-life crisis, I'm trying to learn how to write (hey, it's cheaper than a sports car). Went to James Gunn's 2 week workshop in '98 and in '99. Then Clarion 2000 in East Lansing, MI. (Hmm, considering the tuition, maybe this isn't cheaper than a sports car).
Some Favorite Fiction

P. G. Wodehouse
Avram Davidson (especially The Phoenix and the Mirror)
early Samuel R. Delaney (Nova)
